The Role

Experienced employee will be accountable for overall technical functions and direction for the Remedy tool set. Will be responsible for architecture and design, coding and testing, as well as support and maintenance. Additionally, providing technical mentoring and guidance to less senior associates and direct them with regards to best development practices will be part of the job.

What You Will Do

  • Development and configuration of the ITSM suite applications including Atrium CMDB, Change, Incident, Problem, and SRM modules and frameworks using ITIL methodologies
  • Meeting with process owners and customers to identify requirements to automate business processes
    • Design solutions based on these requirements
  • Evaluate, design, develop, and debug Remedy applications, workflows, and forms which deliver requirements while maintaining a performing, stable, and accurate Remedy foundation
  • Configuration and Administration of the Remedy ITSM Suite
    • Service Desk
    • Asset Management
    • Change Management
    • Service Level Management
    • Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Knowledge Management
    • Configuration Management
    • Service Request Management
  • Level 2/3 support of the Remedy ITSM platform
  • Support and design of integrations of the ITSM site with other BMC products (e.g. ADDM and BAO)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation with respect to system design
  • Support any Remedy administration and management work as required

What Gets You the Job

  • 5+ years of hands on experience with administration and configuration of the BMC ITSM suite
  • Experience with BMC ITSM versions 8.X and 9.X is desirable
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and maintaining the BMC and CMDB and/or SRM development, including Advanced Interface Forms and the use of the BMC Process Designer
  • ITSM Remedy Action Request System development expertise, including customizations and the use of overlays
  • Experience with web technologies and web services including Remedy APIs
  • Demonstrated Remedy Integration experience building integrations with other external partners, managed service providers, and other third party tools
  • Experience with Java, C, C++, C#, and/or scripting languages (e.g. Perl and Powershell)
  • Experience with multi-tenancy
  • Experience with Remedy Action Request System 8.X
  • Experience with the following:

    • ITSM
    • Email Engine
    • DSO
    • Server Group
    • DDM
    • Atrium
    • CMDB
    • Reconciliation Engine
    • Oracle/SQL (Relational dB skills)
    • Remedy API/Web services
  • A high degree of interpersonal skills, especially in regards to working with various levels of technical and business oriented individuals is required
  • Experience with application design, development, deployment configuring, testing, and maintenance within a large enterprise
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts and framework (certification preferred)
  • Ability to support new and existing integrations
  • The ability to thrive in a high pressure environment; meeting established deadlines while simultaneously developing, deploying, and coordinating multiple projects
  • Excellent debugging, problem solving, and testing skills
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Degree in CS, EE, or a related MIS field is preferred
